so are you planning on keeping that dream truck and shipping it back when you are done? i would by perhaps a nice motorcycle and ship the old truck. drive the truck till it dies and save the tacoma for when you get home

The Navy Pays to ship 1 vehicle so once I'm stationed somewhere else then yes I will ship the vehicle with me so I'll keep it.

They sold the one I want....but I found a manual 2010 for 20,600 in a 4 cylinder...I like it...same place too...but I don't know how to drive a manual but learning on a truck shouldn't be that bad.

Then I found this and it's modified to hell out.

And it's got less than 50,000 Miles.....probably someone's fun truck they modded but couldn't keep...and all these mods reduced the value of the truck....but actually I might like it...just wonder how much the loan could go down to if I go for a 2003

Nice interior.

I don't know how much you will get to use the vehicle during while you are stationed in HI, but keep in mind that a truck, particularly a newer truck, will lose value with the passage of time. If you plan to keep the vehicle until the wheels fall off, then resale or market value of the vehicle will not matter much (a little on insurance cost for a more valueable vehicle).

And I was just approved by USAA To purchase a 2010-2012 Vehicle up to 15k

So I have more money in my bank...and I just got this bonus.

So 10+15K=Establish Credit...plus maybe....this?

Bank your money, and let the girls drive you around, come home with loads of cash, and some great memories, what will an old jap truck be worth in a couple years - - best advice you are going to get.

The problem with that is though I have banked a considerable sum of my money already....and I'd rather have a vehicle as well....but you know the deal.

How do the prices in HI compare with what you would pay for the same truck where you are? If you can get a better deal in SC, and the Navy will pay to ship the truck, buy it before you leave.
