Any one hear any trade rumors? The flyers are shopping Meszaros. Bruins are interested.

Glad to see the Flyers didn't trade away any young talent.

I am more concerned about keeping any talent on ice. Zetterberg is hurt - thanks, Sochi - and now Datsyuk.

I wear two Sweaters. I grew up in Philly and have been a Flyers fan since the early 70s, before the cups. I think they did well with the acquisition of McDonald, and trade of Meszaros. I am also a Lightning fan because for a good part of the 90s, in Orlando, they were the only hockey I could watch. No other TV coverage. I would not have made the St Louis deal. The Bolts had a bit of a cup chance with St. Louis and a now healthy Stamkos. Now? I think they will fall out of the playoffs. I think St Louis meant that much. I would have dealt St Louis in June.

I am thinking Anaheim, St Louis, or Blackhawks.

It won't be a real season until the Rangers get rid of every talented player on the team. I hate James Dolan, but my wife worked for him for almost 13 years.....

Just finished watching documentary The Broad Street Bullies on HBO. I really enjoyed it. It is well made. Good story.I was 3 when they won their first cup.
The two things I got from it are:
1- they were so beloved in Philly and so hated everywhere else in the world. Until they they played the Russian Red Army team. Then Canada and United States cheered for them.
2- they would defend each other. Meaning, if you took a run at someone, watch out. Gotta love that

Cory Crawford of the Chicago Blackhawks has to be one of the best goalies all time. Yesterday he blocked 34 shots on goal. The guy is amazingly fast. And I was sad when they traded Antti Niemi.............

He is growing slow but steady. Nobody can say today that Chicago has no goalie, like some 4 years ago. He is tested more than ever too. The BH offense doesn't look super sharp like it used to, so their defense problems are better highlighted. I don't like bang bang teams, hate the Bruins, and wish the Hawks would outskate them SL goons
