Severely infected cyst.

Today sucked, we tried Monday night to cut it out and my wife said the words I feared "There's too much, I can't do it" I went to work Tuesday and it just got worse, this morning my wife was "Your going to the ER" ....damn I hate that place.

It was a lump for ten years, my wife is a nurse and she always said "you should get that thing cut out" and I always thought "Cut out!!! f-that!"

-stupid stupid stupid

Well it decided a week ago it was coming out regardless and it's been a horrible experience man, excruciating pain while they were digging pieces of the infection out, they had big ass forceps pushed into my arm all the way down to the clasp and the doctor was just yanking it open and closed, open and closed, literally tearing the skin away from muscle to give way for the infection to come out.

They gave me some type of drug i can't recall now that didn't do a damn thing, then three different intravenous shots of morphine at 5mg each and two syringes of lanacane around the area and I swear it didn't make a damn bit of difference, now it's packed with gas(sp?) under the skin we have to go back tomorrow to "access the situation". Moral of the story, LISTEN TO YOUR WIFE or even your moms for that matter or whatever ladybit having loved one you have, just do what they say.

That is nasty. Get well, and print this thread off and hand it to your wife. Tell her to put it in a safe place and bring it out whenever necessary. ;)

Get your blood sugar checked ! I struggled with such plagues for two years. Then I got the news I had type 2 diabetes. As soon as I got my blood sugar under control the plague went away. Just something to think about. Good luck, I feel for you brother.

Now put your man pants on and deal with the pain of not listening to good advice. Heh. Hope you heal up without too much muscle damage.

I work in a rehab hospital ive seen people that have lost limbs from cysts that got infected and left to fester for years like that... not trying to scare you but follow all doctor orders on treatment!!
