Default Severe Storms in the South East

We got hammered last night by two confirmed tornados, acorn sized hail and I don't know how much rain. We've been without power for aproximately 12 hours. My laptop and wireless internet were fully charged when the outage hit. Here is the state of my back yard.

This first tree is only 3 - 3.5 feet in diameter and at least 60 feet tall.

Holy cow. You have a mess to clean up there. I'm glad you are okay, though.

So am I. No damage to the house or our cars, only the trees around us. I'm hoping this storm will convince my landlord that the 2 huge worthless pine trees beside us need to come down like I've been telling him for some time.

Take pictures of the pines if they were damaged in the storm. I did that to a neighbor's tree after hurricane Ivan. Asked the neighbor to remove the tree. Hurricane Dennis came along and the same tree ended up in my pool. Because the neighbor was advised and did not take action when asked, they had to pay to get the tree out of my pool.

Geez. Be safe Spitty.

Be safe! Can you send the rain to the Southwest from Central Texas to California coast. Not a drop of rain and if it does, it evaporates when it hits the ground.

We finally got power again yesterday, so we didn't have electricity for about 36 hours. Once I get the mess cleaned up in the yard we should be back to normal, unlike a lot of folks who will be rebuilding their house once they remove the tree.
