I always said, coffee is the most dangerous legal drug that you can buy over the counter, and some of your posts prove it!! lolol
Anyone who thinks it isn't a drug hasn't gone two days without a cup after drinking it for 20 yrs.

Coffee is like gasoline. Every year a crisis allows big price increases. The price goes up and there is plenty of coffee. Many can remember the 5 cent cup of coffee. No one could imagine a $7 dollar cup but it is here.

This is indeed a serious issue my friends. We are at at an impasse with our government on arms control, they are sucking the ammo stores dry out from under us and now the CIA has contaminated our main source of coffee!
Call me crazy, but only once - THIS IS A CRISIS!! Have you noticed the price of coffee already?

The Fungus Among Us

I bought a half dozen bags of roasted Chickory. It was often used as an extended and even replacemtn for coffee back in the day. Gave one as a gift and used another for historic entertaining. I suppose I shoulda just bought more coffee, eh? LOL
Actually, a large jar of instant coffee and Coffee-Mate are good for a coupla hundred cups when, um, the fungus is among us. Sure, it's not the best but tolerable, and it seems expensive, but not when you look at it per cup.

Any country that can come up with the horrible concept of Lite beer can make a fake coffee.

Problem with the tea idea is the cost. Have you been to Teavana? My wife is a fan of their tea and we can't leave that dang store spending less than $60.00!!!
They sell it loose leaf by the ounce with a two ounce minimum.
