I’ve had both mine done. Big difference indeed! Get some night vision back, sharper focus, true color.

I had one done at a time. I thought the color of my office walls were a light shade of green. After the surgery, through the ‘new eye’ I saw the color was white.

Apparently the cataract not only reduces the amount of light through the lens but acts also as a blue filter.

Speking of white looking like green, I had a stroke in January, was in intensive care, then the regular hospital, then rehab for a while, learning to walk, use my left arm, etc. For several weeks, stuff that I knew to be white looked like bright green, and stuff of other colors was different shades of brown or grey. My color vision gradually returned, but apparently there was some damage to the part of my brain that interpreted color signals from my eyes. It's amazing how the various systems of the human body coordinate their functions to produce the whole picture. The main trouble I have now is short-term memory. One night last week I started to climb into bed, but noticed the living room light was on, so I went to the living room to turn off the light. While I was there, I checked the doors to make sure they were locked. As I was climbing in bed, I noticed the living room light was on. I repeated that routine 3 or 4 times before I finally got the light turned off.

Me too.
There is a pill for that!!!
No offence intended, but the more people of my vintage I get to know the more I realise how blessed I am. I still ride and train horses (more aggressively than most young folks do), go hiking and hunting, cut split and stack all my own firewood, have and work my own cattle, and continue to get good reports everytime I see the doc.
