as my father tells us, everyday above ground is a good day. and if we all live long enough, we all get to grow old.
Carefull axxe- when you turn 50 & take a nap you'll wake up 60

I remember making a comment like this to my Dad when I turned fifty. He said “Son…I would give anything to be fifty again!” Put a little perspective on it for me.

Turning fifty sometimes is different. It’s like topping the mountain of life and for the first time you can see the end of the road ahead.

As for the time slipping away, I assure you the coming years will slip by even faster. And there will come a time when, when you look to the future you can only realistically see 10 years (at best!) in front of you.

Then you think how quickly the last ten years passed.

It’s a sobering thought.

Makes me want to check the level in the Jack Black bottle!

In the meantime, live every day to its' fullest.

Best Birthday wishes to you!

ellis

Aging is my proof that time is a variable.

When a child turns two, the past year was INCREDIBLY 1/2 of his life.

When a man turns 50, the past year was ONLY 1/50th of his life.

My left shoulder, left elbow, left thumb hurt. So does my right hip and knee.
