Default Getting Old-Self Induced??

I am courious about how others feel about getting old? I'm 74, but there are many things I still have on my "Bucket List". I have some major medical problems, but I find it hard to accept the reccomendations of others. I have always felt that age is only relivent as to how you feel. I know that there are still many things that I can and will do. How do you feel about getting old????

As I age, I find that "old" takes on different meanings. I feel much younger than I am. I look in the mirror and I wonder who that old lady is. I have "miles to go before I sleep". (Robert Frost) http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/171621

I went in to the doctor the other day for a couple of things that were concerning me. He did a bunch of tests, ran an MRI, blood panel, some mental evaluations. The whole gamut. When he was done he said "I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that you have terminal cancer, but the good news is that you have Alzheimer's. So just forget about it."
