Saying "you have too many knives" is like saying "you're breathing too much". It doesn't work that way. There's no such thing as too many knives.

Having weapons is prudent for many reasons, but considering the ramifications of the problems we face have you taken other steps to mitigate things? Food and water prep doesn't have to cost a lot and even if nothing ever goes wrong you don't lose a thing. In fact you save money and eat better.

I got my boys a .22 rifle, but it stays locked up in the gun safe. I've been teaching my 11-yr old to run the range, and I'm comfortable with sending him out ot the range with my 9-yr old... as long as I'm home.

I joined 1-11-09 but only have 1,012 posts. I have many more posts in less time on other forums but this one is pretty slow paced in my particular interests.

So what is the advantage of being a contributing member?

Well, besides the cool "Supporting Member" under your avatar, more storage space, the satisfaction of supporting the best firearms forum on the interwebz, a decal, and--like I said--there are cookies in the Bunker.
