Specify no overseas sales and hope they read it.

You can change your settings on Ebay listings so only USA people can bid(thats how I have mine).

You're absolutely right. I was only trying to simplify it It's as claimed "The easiest way to pay"! I too have found sites other than ebay that take PayPal ! Rare? Who still has 50's era pedal cars? Sounds like someone try to rip you off!

As for the pedal car, ya can do "pick up only" on eBay.

The buyers have an advantage on ebay. If they complain, they usually get their money refunded.

You can post pics of the item from photobucket and save some money. Use turbolister. Its a free download from ebay.

It doesnt cost anything to give craigslist a try.
I just bought 2 used garage doors this evening. Paid about 1/4 of the new cost.

I think you can list with up to 12 pictures for free on Ebay. You only pay the selling fee(if it sells).

Pay Pal also offers buyer protection in the event a transaction goes awry. There is a chain called Ship on Site that gives deep discounts to ebay vendors. You just bring your item into Ship on Site they take care of packaging and the cheapest way to get it there. UPS stores also offer deals to Ebay vendors. The only things I can ship cheaper on my own through the mail are small items that will fit in a pre-lined bubble wrap/plastic envelope.

Put some thought into when your auction will end. A perfect example is you don't want your auction to end during the Super Bowl.

So does my dad! Probably 60's-80's. He actually bought a record/cassette/CD player a few years back so he could listen to them

I think I'm going to try Craigslist, first.

Thanks for all the ideas, suggestions and advice.
