Seatbelts have pros and cons,I believe the pros out weigh the cons.I'm also in the should be an "individuals rights and decision camp"

I don't care for seatbelts personally unless i'm going racing or off roading, that's why I usually ride the motorcycle they don't have a seatbelt law.

I was hit by a big rig in my Mazda 626. He was doing about 40 in a 20. I didn't have a seatbelt on. He ripped the front half of my car off, spread my engine about 100 yards down the road. The car spun around twice and landed on the sidewalk on the other side of the road facing in the wrong direction. Airbags didn't go off. I walked away.

i have worked more fatality accidents then i care to discuss, ive seen some VERY horrible things, some of the visions will be in my head forever. i have worked fatalities where people were ejected from not wearing their seatbelts and i have had people die right in front of me while still being belted in. seatbelts arent 100% but i still think that its better to wear them.

I hate wearing seatbelts. I dont even wear one when i drive a big truck. Chances are if i have a major accident in an 18 wheeler itll roll over....ever seen pics from a big rig rollover? When your entire rig desintegrates a seatbelt wont help.

Ive never liked wearing them and probably never will. Ive been in accidents with them on and off.

There's that one in a million I was referring to. You already used your chance. I doubt you have been in a million collisions so the odds are definately NOT in your favor

I drive my '69 ford pickup most of the time because it doesn't have shoulder belts they were not required untill '72 I think in trucks.

I was written up one time for not wearing it in the truck at work. The boss informed me that it was company policy to wear it but he wasn't sure if that included my personal vehicle on my own time. I assured him it DID NOT!!!

I have also been in a head on collision in a '96 Dodge Ram, wasn't wearing my seatbelt then either and walked away with no injuries. The wreck did over $12,000 worth of damage to the truck and the other driver had no insurance and was drunk, don't you just love it.
