Having met Seagal, and granted I was totally intervening on his time at SHOT as he was NOT scheduled to be there, I can say the man has banana hands and a Silverback's grip.
I have big hands, and I am not a small guy at 6'-2" and 240 pounds, but Seagal made me feel SMALL in our short exchange. His grip is crushing and his wrists, a common condition among Aikido practitioners, are EFFING HUGE!
I honestly think that if you cuffed him (much like the legend of Billy the Kid), he could compress his thumb and slip his hands out of the cuffs because of how big his wrists are, but his grip is crushing.
As to the question being asked, from a "Movie Star" standpoint:
Chuck Norris does not have a movie, adjusted for inflation, that breaks the magic $100 million dollar mark for worldwide ticket sales.
JCVD does not have a movie, adjusted for inflation, that breaks the magic $100 million dollar mark for worldwide ticket sales.
Steven Seagal will ALWAYS have Under Siege under his belt as a $150 million dollar plus grossing movie.
The numbers don't lie. Chuck is everyone's favorite, but no one went to see his movies. Van Damme was the Muscle & Fitness choice, but no one went to see even his good movies, like Hard target and Universal Soldier. Everyone hates Seagal, apparently, but everyone went to see Under Siege.
