When I was about 12 I watched Xtro at a buddies house and was scared sh!tless to run home in the dark since I wasn't staying the night...Probably my best time, door to door, in the history of getting home... LOL
After that - not much really, the real world is MUCH scarier....

The Exorcist did me in. When DVD technology popped up, watched it again. Kept seeing little flashes, so I rewound and used the cool crisp slo-mo feature.
They put subliminal shots of demons in there, at moments that precisely coincide with when I would get really creeped out. And it worked.
Perhaps I need to review the Obama campaign in slo-mo.

That's just wrong, but also profoundly true.
This is my 399th post, and I've only been here 2 months. Should I slow down/ shut up for awhile?

When I was a 7 year old in 1953, the first movie I ever saw was the original War Of The Worlds. That thing scared the goodies out of me and was a heck of introduction to motion pictures. I had nightmares after seeing it.
More recently, the original Salem's Lot, (1979) by Stephen King gets to me. I know it is low-tech and kind of funky, but there is a scene where the grave digger (Mike Ryerson played by Geoffery Lewis), is floating outside of the kid's (Danny Glick, played by Brad Savage) bedroom window in a mist. Something about that scene sends chills up my spine. I've seen it dozens of times, but something in there gets to me.

Of my 2300 or so posts, only 3 or 4 of them contained anything intelligent and only 1 of those was actually related to firearms.
Post away, we'll delete anything that doesn't belong.
