That would be my last visit, unless they start to hand out Rolex samples!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

I would have to echo this sentiment.

About 4 or 5 years ago a buddy and I went into a local gun shop that had opened in Bellevue ( rich interwebz money built the place ) and were billing themselves as THE place to come and get training in firearms.

Boasted a "stable" of ex police and military guys who would train you in everything from basic shooting to room clearing in their indoor range. It was a nice setup, but they lacked any real inventory.

My ex-buddy, who is a large ( read fat ) guy, but he moves really well. He has been big all his life. He really wanted a Model 96 Beretta and they had one, so he asked if he could see it.

Similiar to Goju's experience, the guy pulled the weapon out of the case, finger on or near the trigger and the gun pointed right at my buddy. As he went to sweep the barrel up into my buddy's position, my buddy was actually about 7 or 8 feet away off to the outside of the guy's hand and said in a loud voice "Yo dude, Wh*t the F**K?"

Needless to say, that got everyone's attention....

I think WTF!!! would be the smallest appropriate reaction...followed by that swift kick to the head

Gotta say, sometimes having insanely strict laws can be a GOOD thing.

And the idea of buying a gun in a pawn shop...

It's not a bad idea to buy a gun in a pawn shop really. I've had several really good guns come from those places. You just have to know what to look for.

I bought my mossberg shotty at the pawn shop, on the way to go dove hunting. It has been great, especially for a $100 used gun. Pawn shops must be a little different here. The shop also had ammo and a hunting license for me. Actually, there is a pawn shop in the next town over that brags of having the largest handgun selection in this part of the state.

I only watched the first part, but.... That's HALARIOUS!

I was in a pistol match once, and jammed. Couldn't clear it. So I called the RSO over, per procedure.

He tried the same procedures as I had to clear it. No dice. So he TURNS THE GUN TO HIS FACE AND LOOKS DOWN THE BARREL!!!! (I have no freaking idea what he hoped to gain by that!)

I did the James Cagney thing for him.
