Default RIP Sparky Anderson

The baseball world lost a legend today. He lived across the street from my college and was always up for a talk about baseball or anything else. He was a great guy and will be missed.

Sparky Anderson was the perfect combination, a great manager and an even better man - ESPN

He was a great manager. RIP.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”Samuel Adams

RIP Sparky

Thank you for the 84 Championship. (my birth year)

I wore Sparky's number 10 back when I played Knothole ball back in the 70's His work with the Big Red Machine will be remembered (at least by me) for a long time to come.
RIP Sparky
