Jgoertz, sorry on the loss of your companion. She was a beautiful dog. Love her pointy nose. You did the right thing and gave the dog a good life. Take one day at a time and the healing will begin.

Thank you everyone. Even tho' I've never met any of you, I feel like you are all lifelong friends and your thoughts and condolances mean a lot and do help the loneliness if only to express myself.

Jim,

I personally feel the same as you when it comes to the life long friends. We all share good times and some truly sad times with each other every day, an I am truly thankful for that every day.
