Default " Revolution"

Anyone watch the tv show "Revolution " last night?
In one scene the "militia" had a bunch of civilians trapped in a building and were going to wipe them out but the good guys had 1 bolt action rifle and the shooter kept picking off the bad guys. The leader of the militia said to one of his men "thats why cilvilians arent allow to have firearms",
Kind of stuck a chord with me.

Personally, i make it a point to know some people who aren't entirely law-abiding, just in case the law goes toooo far. I don't want or need a hot gun, but it wouldn't be hard to find one.

I guess "criminals" wouldn't really be "civilians" since they have chosen sides.

I believe he meant because he was wasting his ammunition. I don't think anyone reloads their own in the show.

I understand your point though.

That line got my attention, quick.
I do enjoy the show though, only one problem.

All the "heroes" have is a crossbow and a couple a swords between them.
When they have killed "militia" there are literally dozens of guns layin around.
Pick one up dammit!!! I mean really it 's common sense!

In the first show one of the militia shot a guy because he had a killed a deer with a shotgun. His line was" A civilian having a firearm is punishable by death".

[wonders if bloomerburg was the inspiration for the militia leader character?]

The show wasn't what I expected it to be but it is kind of entertaining. Most of the bad guys that are armed have black powder rifles but there are a few center fire pistols and rifles around too.
It is set about 15 yrs after the lights go out. Society has pretty much collapsed and the warlords have taken over.
Makes you want to check your ammo supply tho.

Revolution has yet to win me over with some degree of plausibility.
The main characters appear to be the progeny of the Brady Bunch.
It's just flat and one-dimensional for me. But then that's only my opinion.
