A freind brought over his remington 710 becuase he was having trouble getting the bolt back in the gun, after a little while i managed to get it back in, while i was locking and unlocking the bolt i inserted the magazine and when i went to slide the bolt back into place it caught on somthing about a 1/4" away from were i could lock the bolt down. What could it be catching on? (removing the magazine did not help

He managed to get the bolt back in but we are still not sure why it was catching in the first place,we think that it may have something to do with the magazine but we are not sure. Nothing appeared to be broken or bent and once I oiled it the bolt appeared to work fine though I have seen some smoother boltactions
For what it's worth I bought a Remington 710 in .270 just before I left to come home the last time I was over. I have had a few 700's in the past but I am very disapointed with the quality and finish of the 710, and I am kinda stuck with it.......
