Default Reminder of the Price Heroes Pay for Freedom

I know many have seen this before, as I have also. But setting here today and seeing it again as a friend sent it to me. I thought it as a good reminder of the ultimate price some pay for our freedom while serving their country. And how some fail to realize it. As an old vet now setting here awaiting the NASCAR Race this Sunday, this always reminds me and brings a tear to my eye. So here it is! Lest we ever forget the true price for Freedom. GOD Bless our Heroes! And may God have a special place for each one of them!‎SimilarYouTubeLoading...

The Constitution is not an instrument for the Government to restrain the people. It is an instrument for the people to restrain the Government!
*Patrick Henry

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom."

Excellent video. I've watched it several times and I stillet a tear or two.

There's a sign in front of our local VA hospital

"The Price of Freedom is Visible Here"
I didn't fight to defend your freedom so you could vote to take away mine.

"A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill."

Great song!

Damned onion peeling gnomes slipped into my room while I was listening.
“Somebody has to speak for these people. Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this—they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people...better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.” Mal Reynolds Serenity/Firefly
