does anyone remember,
playing kick the bucket?
street hockey ... with no protective equipment?
biking everywhere?
leaving the house at dawn and not coming back until dark to play?
getting odds/ends jobs at the age of 12 instead of bumming money off of mom and dad?
burning down that one neighbors house because he ..... ooops, I've said to much

Remember riding your bicycle behind the mosquito control truck while he was spraying?
Waiting for the "Mr. Softee" ice cream truck to come through your neighborhood?
Playing Hide and Go Seek?
Watching Combat! (with Rick Jason and Vic Morrow), Twelve O'clock High (With Robert Lansing), The FBI (with Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) in B/W then in color?

Remember records?
Remember having problems at school and the coach took you and the other guy and threw you in the ring?
Remember when you could express your beliefs and not get labeled a "hater"?
Remember when the government was 100% for the people? Ya neither do I.

I remember all those things and a lot more. We can get them back ... we just have to get out and fight for it, for the vote, and make it happen again.

Nice list.
From memory or from being told.
If from personal memory - I salute you, sir!

I remember when I had job pumping gas as a kid. There was no such thing as self service.
I washed winshields, checked oil & water, and tire pressure. On every vehicle.
And I didn't have a computer to tell me how much change the customer was due.
I did have a cool 4 cylinder change maker on my belt. Remember those?

cool..I don't know why..but, there's something special about having your windshield scrubbed so hard it made the whole car rock.

Remember pulling into gas station and saying give me five dollars worth if it will hold it.
I tried that yesterday the guy snatched my five and farted

I was also "brake boy". Whenever a brake job was finishing up, I was put in the drivers seat and raised on the lift for the bleeding. Pump 'em up-hold 'em down......
I also learned to do minor tune-ups. points, plugs, condenser, and timing. Now days I shudder to think what would happen if a "service station" let a 13 year old do that kind of work on a vehicle.
