I had a wife which was just about the opposite of your description. Awake early - but dead to the world asleep very early in the evening - then up very early.
Myself, I will often go into an extreme sleep need period early in the evening - then waken and be somewhat refreshed.
There are many cases of famous people how lived on napping - example - Winston Churchill.
My point. To try to get someone to conform to some rigid sleep routine that does not suit then can be harmful to that person. And attempting to decide what that person should sleep like is defeating - much like if someone ordered you to sleep in a different fashion than what you recognize is "best" for you.
Recognizing each person as an important person with their own important needs is very important - but is difficult for some people to accept - because control of the other person is more important to the controller.

Haha, I'm pretty sure the original post was meant as a joke, her husband can read this.

And in a parent/child relationship the parent always will be giving far more than the child does, at least until the child becomes an adult and roles are reversed (though this reversal does not by any means always happen).

Hell I don't know, don't take relationship advice from me. My longest relationship didn't even last two years and it ended badly, it was very, very ugly.

Let's fix that. I don't do any damn thing halfway.

He was tired because he stays up too darn late playing video games and then has to get up early for work. We have pretty much fixed the problem because he wears a CPAP machine now for his sleep apnea. It is helping. It's wasn't a control issue. It was a health issue. I actually did the original post as a joke to him because I told him I was going to tattle if he did it again.

Yep. Seen it done by an industrious redneck chef. I took like, 5 minutes to get the grill ready for cooking.
