Looks like a POS. One does not simply "remake" the original Red Dawn. I've probably watched that movie 50 times
I like both (Original and Remake). The remake has that specific sound of casings hitting the ground.
Marlin Model 60
Mossberg Maverick 88-12 GA
Mosin Nagant 91/30
Stag Model 2
Smith And Wesson M&P 15-22
Mossberg ATR 100 "Night Train"-.308
Chinese T53 Mosin Nagant X2
Here's the problem with Red Dawn versus the remake.
In the original Red Dawn, all of the protagonists are just ordinary Americans who become partisans.
In the remake, notice how they are led by a Marine who has come home and the father is a police officer.
In other words, modern Hollywood cannot wrap its head around the thought of "ordinary" people becoming heroes. Our new heroes have to be government trained.
Whatever happened to the Campbellian Journey?
"For every problem there is always a solution that is simple, obvious, and wrong." - Mark Twain
Anything right now that might very well AWAKEN the younger generation to a real possibility meets with my approval.
Usually, I am a tough movie critic on today's films, writers, and directors. But, Red Dawn, needs to be shown.
