Default Red Dawn 2012

In 1984, many of us saw the original Red Dawn. I don't know about you, but that movie certainly influenced my views on the importance of the Second Amendment.

If you haven't seen it yet, the Red Dawn 2012 Trailer has been released. My question is... do you think this movie will have the same impact on the younger generations, as the original did for many of us?

Depends on whether or not they screwed up the plot and characters. Hopefully, they didn't.

Let's hope not!

Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but I'm just not sure the younger generation will be impacted by it regardless.

I'm in that younger generation and love the original Red Dawn! I really do hope that this one is just as good. Even though they've already changed it to North Korean soldiers instead of Russians

Smaller targets for added difficulty, good deal!

North Koreans? I can see Chinese however coming to collect their debts. And behind them for support our own military and their martial law.

It was originally the Chinese, but then a Chinese company bought the production company causing them to pretty much really shoot the entire film.

I lived the original, I made my 14 year old niece watch it. Let's hope it is somewhat realistic instead of a one man army takes everybody on and kills em all type thing. An army isn't going to drop in on us now (or then) by surprise like the original movie.

Definitely won't be better than the first but it looks pretty good. I watched the trailer on YouTube and the only thing I didn't like was that it had a few of the panzy ass kid actors.

To me it's like making a remake of The Outsiders and having Justin Beiber as Pony Boy.

I though ALL actors were pansy asses?
