Default records released--diplomat suggests splitting the world

Now this is an interesting story. An English diplomat suggested that Britain and Nazis split the world during WWII....

LOL that's really very funny when you consider England was getting it's butt kicked by the Germans at the time and WE Americans we pushing the japs back to their little Island and preparing to come save England's rear end .

If Hitler ever entertained splitting THE WORLD with anyone he would have contacted us and proposed the idea .

This could have easily been done as England would have folded if we withdrew our support and Hitler would have taken Russia if he hadn't had to fight on two fronts as he did .

America could have crushed anyone in this hemisphere including Canada like a tin can , and then we could have jointly turned on the middle East and China .

Actually all things considered this wouldn't have been a bad idea .

It is well known that there were a number of Nazi sympathizers in Britain, especially among the "nobility." And Hitler long thought that Britain was his "natural" ally, a view not shared by people like Churchill :-) Of course with Hitler a "natural" ally was someone who didn't need to be conquered --- yet :-) When he was sooundly rebuffed he began planning the invasion of Britain.

The Duke of Windsor (ex King Edward VIII) and his wife, American Wallace Simpson, were known to have pacifist and pro-German views. When war broke out over Poland Churchill was elected Prime Minister and one of his first acts was to send the Duke to the Bahamas as the Royal Governor, to get him out of England and also to keep him from moving to the US and undermining British war efforts with the Americans.

Why would God invent a thing like Whiskey? To keep the Irish from ruling the world of course.

Actually most of the British pro-Nazis movement was neutralized one way or another long before the US joined the war.

Anyone who has studied ancient history knows that the British are direct descendants of the Huns - so somehow this doesn't surprise me...

Actually I suspect the pro-German views stemed more from the relationship of royalty in Europe. The royal families of most European countries were/are related to each other by blood or marriage at some point in time. The British royal family are Windsors (Victoria, the Edwards, Elizabeth II, etc) and were originally a German family anyway so the Duke's sympathies for the Germans is not too surprising. And, if memory serves, Wallace Simpson, his American wife was from a wealthy American industrialist family that had pro-German sympathies in both wars.
