Once you've opened it, you've got to cook them. They won't keep.

Soak worms in water before eating them. It gets them to poop first. They'll taste a little better after soaking. Good protein source if ya gotta survive in the woods.

Who said anything about cooking 'em.

And just for clarification. You take them out of the poop water, so you aren't eating the worm poop. That would be gross.
