So here I go ..... my wife and I have a night without our daughter. We planned to go to the range. I've had my eye on a S&W Governor for a while and the range has one in stock. Perfect! We will buy the Governor and they will waive the range fee! Should be an awesome night right????? Think again!!!! The lovely state of Massachusetts enacted a law saying I need a pin # instead of my fingerprint to buy a firearm. Of course the state office is closed that gives you your pin. I never got anything in the mail saying i needed to do anything different. Thanks for ruining my ****ing plans Massachusetts ....... end rant

I feel for you man. I too come from a communist state with ever changing firearm laws....

I am so surprised that Massachusetts would do something that a gun owner didn't like.

It totally ruined my whole day/night ..... ****

I thought once you had the little plastic (FOID?) card you were good to go. Even though I live right next to Mass, I don't get the laws there...

That sucks man. I'm sorry your night was ruined. A PIN number? That's pretty out there...

I don't get it either. Last time I bought (9 months ago) I showed my "Class A Large Capacity Concealed Carry License", filled out the paperwork and put my thumb on a fingerprint reader and I was good to go. They got rid of the fingerprint process in lieu of a state issued pin # ....... whatever

I guess my night isn't ruined but my wife and I rarely have time to shoot together because of schedules and our daughter. I was going to surprise her at the range with a Ruger SR22 I bought for her a few weeks ago. Dammit!!!

It is time that people, whenever possible, start moving put of states like MA, NY, CA, IL etc. Right now it is a slow draining of good people. We need it to be a flood of decent, tax paying people leaving these states. Then they will be starved of the resources to run these states as the socialist Utopia's they want them to be. The quicker the Keynesian Socialists running these places crash and burn the better for everybody.

So with a pin number, you can buy your gun without a state check on every purchase, and walk with it? No waiting period, right? Youve already been checked and approved by the state, so no need for any cooling off period, right?
Somehow I don't think this is what those Mass. politicos had in mind when instituting this system.
They wouldn't do anything to make it easier to obtain any firearm.
