Horse. Call the shot, the distance and the target.

Tic tac toe.

Who has the best group with x many rounds.

I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.

The local archery shop has dartboard targets. Call the shot, 301, cricket, other standard bar games. I sometimes bring some 8 and 9 ball targets in for a quick game as well.

One of the local indoor ranges has some 2X4 rails set up in front of the backstops. Odds and ends go on them for an added challenge from time to time. Q-Tips at 25 yards, Golf balls at 50, that kind of thing. Some of the newer members have learned not to play the bullseye guys for money already, others are still trying to beat them. Saturday mornings are kind of fun to watch.
Is it better to do the right thing for the wrong reason, or to do the wrong thing for the right reason? If you do the wrong thing for the right reason, is it still the wrong thing?

Si vis pacem para bellum.

There are two ways of doing something. Right and again.

If you can't be good, be great at it.

I don't usually shoot at ranges, but I do like to challenge myself and my friends. I will usually set a bottle out at about 125 yards, and first guy to break it with a .22 wins.

It doesn't take too long considering we all have scoped .22s.

There's a creek that runs in the winter where I shoot. We will put a spent 12ga shell on the water, and try to shoot it as it floats away.
