It's best used as a tool in conjunction with other tools.
Just the same as how you can't build a house with only a hammer. You'll need some saws, tape measure, nails... dear lord I can't list them all, but many tools in the tool box make sure that an important job gets done to the greatest potential.

I actually know the answer to this, it's quite simple. Money. It's cheaper to manufacture and distribute one style of keypad instead of two.
trip you just ruined a perfectly good nonsense rant by answering your own question with.... "facts" whats wrong with you.

Thanks Trip, good analogy. I would daresay that a chainsaw is a tool one might use in building a house, but not every house. And not everybody is able to use it skillfully, let alone in building their own house.

Because a blind person may very well get a ride to the ATM by a sighted person and not want to reveal his/her PIN so he/she gets out of the car and does his/her own transaction. How about that?

Allright winds. You just compounded trips lack of nonsensical gibberish with reason. Now I'm getting my hair up. I come to this thread for the sweet sweet craziness, not thoughtful discussion. Wheres Orangello? I wanna rant about bears and their global communist conspiracy.

How does he or she know that their driver won't follow them up to the atm and peek at their PIN?
