Toyota recalled over 9 million vehicles at the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010. This recall was initiated by Toyota. Accelerator pedals were sticking, and ABS software was going haywire, causing people to not be able to stop, and in some cases, suddenly accelerating after already being stopped. As far as I know, it was only the cars, namely the prius, that were affected.

My point is which ones get sensationalized and which ones get swept under the rug.

My point is, your beloved Toyota is not being picked on by the government, and I'm about as anti government as they come.
I heard more about the flaming volts than I did the Toyotas with failing brakes.

Guns and ammo is a decent read in many respects...just take their "reviews" with a grain of salt, so to speak. In my opinion, they are paid adverts presented as objective reviews.
There is a recent thread around here on them and other mags.

Plenty of Japanese (and German) cars built here in the USA. Likewise, plenty of "American" cars (Ford comes to mind first, but all do it) are built in Mexico, Canada, and other foreign countries. So what if my car was made in Japan? Ifd Ford or Chevy produced a vehicle that was as reliable, safe, and similarly priced, I'd buy it. But they don't. And nothing Chrysler/Dodge will ever be purchased by me again.

Want to see if there is a recall on YOUR car or truck? Database from NHTSA. Enter year, then make, then model. A LOT of vehicles have had one. I have a 2010 Ford Fusion- it is on recall #3 now.

Wife and I were in the local Atwood's farm & garden store Friday evening, and they were putting in the seed displays.
I had been restless all day at work, and suddenly realized... OMG! it's almost spring, and I have to plant stuff, but have NO garden sites prepared yet!
To be fair, I've been rather busy since moving here in July, but dammit, I'm a Gardener! I must dig! I must shovel stuff! I must get plants in the ground, dirt under my nails, red on my neck! Compost bins, raised beds, food to grow!
Anybody else get this way during January?

Thanks C3, the only thing I found on my pickup was Fram replacement fuel filter seal... Great link..!
Here it is with the ANTI import tuner stickers my daughter decided it needed. It was a joke to a friend of ours, they are rock bands, and now we can't get them off... Hahaha, I guess that one fell back on us...

That's always the first one that comes to mind, my friend had an 89 Mustang with a 4 cylinder in it, it's in a wrecking yard in Cedar City now; right where it belongs.

I've got a 93 Toyota pickup with 130,000 miles on it that has had the head gasket replaced twice. I know there are two recalls on the early 90s V6 Toyotas....

haha it had to be the Chrysler corporation... They started out as bad German cars, then they were bad British cars, then bad American cars....

If you have one, try a heat gun and some plastic razor blades. If you don't have a heat gun borrow your daughter's hair dryer. And Goo Gone will get the adhesive off and it's safe for paint, or a good citrus cleaner will generally work too.
