Meh. I would say i don't mind the cold, but really, it doesn't get all that cold out here(30s-40s) plus I'm young and stupid.

I've seen a couple of pickups in my area for less than $1500. A couple of dents, bad paint, but so what? If it lasts the winter, it may be worth it.

Thanks. I'm tempted to go over there and attempt to have a conversation with them.

I know some of you may not understand this but I have experienced this. Being a single woman sometimes makes you a target. The guy knows my daughter isn't probably going to challenge him. I highly doubt this neighbor would act that way if there were a man living with my daughter who would have the 'huevos' to knock on the door and tell him to cut it out.

I know the above sounds like I'm a whiney female but I swear, it's true.

getchu sum stencils and stencil Dept of Immigration on it, see if that helps........if it doesn't, then move it on the opposite side of the yard (in the yard), that way they have to trespass to get to YOUR trash can..........then call ICE (LMAO).

Well, my daughter lives in a duplex so there is some communal property in the lawns. And, they are not Mexican. They appear to be Cambodian, Loation, Thai, Viet Namese or something like that. I have always smiled and waved at the woman whenever I saw her outside in the summer. No language barrier with a smile and a wave. But her husband..........he is terrible. We call him CTHD (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) because he always seems to appear out of nowhere and scare the crap out of us. Sometimes I fall asleep on my daughter's couch and leave her place to go home at midnight or even later and he's sitting on his porch, in the absolute dark, smoking a cigarette. My daughter finds cigarette butts in her back yard and I don't think he can flick the butt that far. We suspect her walks behind the homes late at night.

I just don't like him as he has been rude to us even when we say 'hello' to him. And I think he's kind of sneaky.

This doesn't work for women. The cheap ones stack HIGH.

That sounds perfect for what i remember of Memphis traffic; sometimes people will call your bluff on 240.

I have to deal with Asians every day during this time of the year (harvest). Some are more difficult than others and the Koreans are the most difficult in my opinion. It took me a couple of years to lay down the law with them but once I did it has been smooth sailing for the most part. Of course I am a 6' 3" white guy with a strong voice. Interestingly enough in some of those cultures (Korean being one of them) the women rule the roost. They don't have much respect for the men (especially white men). It also helped that I learned a few phrases in their language (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Tagalog etc.) so they think I can understand when they are jabbering away in their language. It catches them off guard when you greet them or say goodbye in their own language. They also don't like being accused of stealing, so if your daughter were able to talk to the English speakers in the house and tell them that somebody has been stealing her recycle bins it might just magically show up.

As for the cigarette butts I would collect them all and dump them on their porch. I never tolerate that sort of crap. One time a guy dropped his lit butt out of his window at a crosswalk and I picked it up and tossed it in his lap (still burning) and said "You seem to have dropped this." Then his light turned green and people started honking. He pulled into a parking lot to put his butt out. A-hole.

But hey, guess what. Now you don't smoke so you don't have to worry about it. Ever again.
