Good to know. My house was built in the early 1940's and it has 'real' plaster walls and brick on the outside. I like my house is very sturdy but the plaster walls make it hard to hang anything on the walls.

How about the Kaypro? That was a portable monochrome computer you could take with you! It had 5 1/4" floppy disc drive, Z80 processor, 64 KB of RAM and a CP/M operating system. How portable was it? Well, it weighed about 30 lbs and cost almost $2,000 initially.

Why is it you never have gas when you're alone, but put some people in the room that you don't know, suddenly you're the Hindenburg!

Might be a sub-conscious thing, telling you there are plenty of people to pull your finger?

FWIW, the Commodore 64 did not "store" 64K- it could process 64K. But since it had no hard drive, it could not store zip. When you turned off the power, EVERYTHING went away.

To do word processing, you loaded that program from a floppy, did your work, and saved the work to another floppy. I had a SX-64- the portable version. NOT a laptop, just portable. Size of a large briefcase, had a 5 inch color CRT monitor. Programs were in a language called BASIC. No DOS.
