Default And another thing........

There's this guy I work with. He's kind of new here and he's about 25 years old. He's not yet divorced and his girlfriend's pregnant. He doesn't have a nice thing to say about her. He's late for work all the time and complains if we're busy and complains if we're slow.

Every where I go, he's right behind me. He makes 'yowl' sounds whenever I walk past him and he's always saying things like, "I'll be right back. Try not to miss me." (Oh, don't worry, buddy, I won't.) When going from point A to point B, he has to walk past me even if it's out of his way to do so. If I make eye contact with him he poses like a karate guy or some other dumb thing. It's like we're in 5th grade and he 'likes' me. Before I knew what a pain in the a$$ he was, I showed him pictures of my guns and he said "You're turning me on. I'll be in the bathroom for a while." He's obnoxious and a pain in the neck. And everywhere I go, THERE HE IS. He's driving me absolutely NUTS!!!!

W-O-C. I may have had one of the "Highest BAL". Not me- the guy we had to tackle in the ER, and peel off of our Doc. It was 0.609.

Yes, I know. But it WAS .609 (we ran it 3 times) and yes, he was alive. He had chugged a couple of bottles of vodka, and passed out in a snowdrift= his body core temps were in the low 80s. Rescue found him, brought him to us- and when we started thawing him, he woke up.

Our boss nurse thought one of the new nurses might have cleaned his arm w/ alcohol. Nope. IIRC, they sedated him, got him on dialysis and did some blood swaps to keep the alcohol from killing him. They figure the lowered temp kept him alive.

There was a case in Orgegon with a BAL over .700, and some reported from Europe over 1.00.

Foe those of you not into medical, law enforcment, or binge drinking- you are drunk at .08, unconcious by .30, I can do surgery on you at .40, and .50= yer dead.

I quit drinking after I turned 18 for a couple of years I've never been completely wasted, mostly I drink because it helps me sleep.

Default Norwegian Royal Guard

I thought some of you might appreciate this video of the Norwegian Royal Guard. The surface they are performing on is an ice rink.

Legally "drunk" at .08, thanks to the MADDhatters; individuals vary in their level of inebriation. The .08 thing is just their line in the sand. (and a darn good justification for the legislators who passed it to have drivers)
