ROFL! Really? Everyone else says it different than I do? I would have never noticed if you didn't point it out. Now I am going to have to engage some people into 'oatmeal' conversations to see what others have to say.

Pretty sure. I've never heard anyone but you say he was going to "have a bowl of oatmeal(s)." Do you say "Cream of Wheats" too?

I thought it was "bowl of oatsmeal"? Like "oat smile" but with an "e" rather than the "i" sound.

I mean, nobody says a "bowl of grit", do they?

The thing at McDonald's, do you call it a "hashbrown" or do you ask for "hashbrowns"?

The only time Chevy Chase made me laugh was today when I saw his interest rate for late payments. -Yours truly

Speaking of "grit" or grits! I love grits and I had a grandmother who put tuna in her grits and that was taking it to the extreme sometimes! lol

Really you like things ramming down your throat? As a man that is not a good thing.

No, a bowl of oatmeal is singular. It's one bowl. As for oatmeal itself, I don't like them all that much. Yeah, it's starting to sound strange to me, now. Maybe it really is "I don't like it all that much". I don't know!! Sometimes when typing you don't realize it sounds strange unless you say it out loud.

Thanks, Gello. I am questioning my sanity a little less.
