At 5 this morning I was thinking it would be a really good idea to replace all the old brittle vacuum lines in my truck. 3 trips to the parts store and 25 feet of vacuum line later I've decided I shouldn't be thinking that early in the morning...

I have never understood this mentality. I am not a "sports" fan at all. I watch the Super Bowl for the creative commercials, and even then these days I watch the commercials on the Internet. I couldn't care less about the games (this goes for baseball, hockey and tiddley winks.)
Now that you know where I am coming from, why is it that people have this absolute hatred for other teams, when in reality if there were no other teams then the one existing team would just be playing with themselves?
I mean, if you are a Yankees fan and you hate to death all other teams, where would you be if all other teams ceased to exist? The answer is nowhere. The Yankees would be nowhere because there would not be anybody else to play with.
Not too long ago a local guy went down to LA to watch a game between the LA Dodgers and the SF Giants. He is in a coma today because of an altercation in the parking lot after the game. WTF is that???? That is just wrong.

The Yankees are probably either the most loved team in sports by their fans and the most hated by the haters. They are the most recognized franchise in the world, or so I've heard.
They have a reputation for BUYING the best players in the game. They've had really good ownership and management over the past many years, but they do have an unfair advantage in always getting the best players.
That's the biggest reason people hate them so much and LOVE it when they lose. I don't care for them for that very reason, but I must admit that they epitomize class in every way.

Once as a landscaper's helper I was raking a yard, just raking raking raking. I made a tragic mistake by not looking behind me to see where I was going. Next thing I knew I backed into a ditch and fell on my ass.
People always tell me to look ahead, but when your going backwards it's best to look behind you.
