I've got an itch to buy something but I have no idea on what to buy...

I finally figured out why I dont like "modern" vehicles... I ******* hate plastic!!! Its all Internationals from here on out! I dont care how expensive gas gets!!!!

Why does a Toyota need a tensioner and stupid plastic guides that break? And why do you have to tear the engine so far apart to fix it?? A IH just has two gears that hardly ever wear out.. or like a old Chevy, it has a timing chain but no silly guides or tensioner to break???

IHC timing gears

VS.

Toyota

They make steel guides that do better. There were steel installed in 2006 in mine and redone in 2010 when it was apart again just because. They were in good shape still. Toyota does wired stuff. There is something in the reverse gear that's plastic too. Not sure if that includes the 2wd Trans. Maybe just the w56 5 speeds. Those break often....

How much time did you waste reading this?

Also might as well go ahead and change the oil pump while you have all that crap off. Save you a headache down the road.

Miss Winds I would do that for you but I am afraid that jealous Pengie might beat me to death with it!
