$278 including tax. Not a great deal, but not bad either. It seems like Arizona is full of cheap guns. Trez keeps talking about finding Arisakas as cheap as Mosins. I've never even seen an Arisaka here.

Yeah Tex, you name it and you can just about get it here. I botched up by not jumping on an H&R Breaktop 22 convertible for MzGrn. My Pawn guy sold it the day after the last Gun show here. I got pd. Two days after that, but it was gone. she wants a 22 wheelgun....

Just got a Taurus 605 basket case this afternoon. been working on it for about 45 minutes and got it slapped back together with a polished action. Feeling pretty good about that.

Looks almost new to me. What all was wrong with it? How's it work now?

I was heavily considering a .22 revolver before I saw the CZ, but I wasn't familiar with most of the brands. Saw a FUNKY looking gun too. I'm fuzzy on the name though. American something. It kind of looked like a .22 caliber Mauser pistol with a really thick barrel and over sized handles.

He let a friend who supposedly knows all about guns take it apart and clean it. It wasn't even clean. The guy called him and said, "dude, I'm lost." So he had to go pick up the pieces. Put them all in a baggie. Came to work, looks at me and says, "dude, you know anything about revolvers?" I told him yeah, I've worked on a few. Then he holds out the bag, "think you can fix this?" I said "dude... what the **** is that?"

So I ended up taking it home and putting it back together. My first basket case. I'm feeling pretty impressed with myself.

I'm home alone, too, on Christmas eve. I'm not minding it one bit. Just kicking back and being lazy. But I have to make cream cheese brownies, lasagna and Chex mix for the family Christmas party tomorrow.
