More or less that's the case. I think at one time the majority of the City Council in Santa Cruz admittedly smoked pot. I think they have cleaned up a bit since then though. I think its more a case of they don't even listen to anything the public has to say in the open comments session at the beginning of the meetings.

when I was on my first deployment back in 03, about half way through the USO came on board and gave out free two disk sets of Beethoven. For about two weeks straight it was all you heard playing around the ship. I was cranking at the time working in the scullery and trash pit. I was one of the few that had a stereo and I can tell you those CDs didn't leave my player for about two solid weeks. I was notorious for having the music "too loud" except when I played those CDs. Never had a complaint when I has it cranked.

My first CDs of classical music were called "Classical Music For People Who Hate Classical Music". Great set. I could see how they would be popular. Beethoven rocked back in the day and hasn't changed much since then.

I had almost an entire family, no matter what they actually did for a living, were into music, acting and such. My mother was a dancer , teacher, and actress I. Many productions off BWay and a few on BWay in the late 50's and early 60's. My father played all for saxophones well. It was only natural that I would have to learn to play more then one instrument. A quote from my mother." You can have Guitar lessons, but you have to learn either Piano or an orchestra instrument to "make up for Guitar"...

I want to go out for a business lunch sometime, and whoever I'm meeting, I want them to say "have you had the soup here? It's to die for!"
And then I'm going to look them right in the eye, summon a tear, and say "the first woman I ever loved, choked to death while eating soup."

And then just see what happens...
