So you are ****ing nuts.
To blame an inanimate object for the acts of evil men is void of reason. It is the same as saying that forks make people fat and that pencils cause misspelled words.
Let's look at how gun control has worked in the past.
In the UK, Australia, and even Chicago, there is extremely strict gun control laws in place. Let's see what their violent crime rate is.
2011 Annual violent crime rate for UK - 120.73 crimes per every 10,000 people.
2010 Annual violent crime rate for Australia - 91.44 crimes per every 10,000 people.
2012 Annual violent crime rate for Chicago - 103.27 crimes per every 10,000 people.
What is the rest of pro gun America like?
2011 Annual violent crime rate for US - 38.60 crimes per every 10,000 people.
Hmm, I don't know about you, but I'd call that a complete and total failure.
Gun control is also a trademark of genocide. It happened to the Jews in Nazi Germany. It happened to the Armenian's in the Ottoman Empire, and it has happened in places like Red China, the USSR, Cambodia, ect. Millions upon millions of innocents have been killed BECAUSE of gun control.
Why is your logic that guns are bad wrong? Considering that concealed carry has reduced murder by 8.5%, rapes by 5%, aggravated assault by 7% and robberies by 3%, I'd say you have no argument. Also, the overwhelmingly vast majority of mass shootings happen where guns have been banned. More proof that gun control is a failure.
Laws do not effect the lawless, only the lawful.
Finally, I will leave you with this. Your on the loosing end of this debate. Gun ownership is at an all time high. Way more pro guns laws are being passed than gun control laws. Two antigun politicians were kicked out of office for passing gun control laws in Colorado. Most people (including the police) believe that more gun control would do nothing to prevent crime.
So you can make this little petition, but it won't make a bit of difference. The 2nd Amendment is not going anywhere, and neither is my AR-15.
Have a nice day.
