I was going to leave this alone because it is about 5 pages back, but Viking I had no intention of offending you or anyone else with my post. All I was trying to say is that in theory marriage is supposed to be permanent, so when most people see a dad and a kid on a Saturday and they automatically assume it is a single dad I think that is sad.

Our situations are much different and at the moment I am overly sensitive to this stuff because I found out last Thursday that I will losing the house I built on land that has been in my family for 60+ years because she wanted to relive her teenage years at 45.

Again I meant no offense.

I am so sorry.

That stinks F4U. I hope something can come along and help. Where I got divorced, inherited properties, money, and real estate is considered entirely separate from marital property and can not be touched by an ex or soon to be ex. That's not to say that you may not have to sell it later to pay alimony, but it's not going to go to them.

I just went through the mediation process with the bank, basically I just can't afford to keep it on just my income. We owed more on it than it was worth after housing prices dropped like they did. So it will go to sheriffs sale probably sometime in jan or feb.

Start spreading the word. My family land was taken over through what COULD have turned into an imminent domain issue. As it were, we sold out to the coal mine that came through. Kept a percentage of the mineral rights.

Because we managed to keep that percentage of the mineral rights, my family has been able to put back some of the money, including the buy out.

Because it's a small town, it's understood that when the land goes back up for auction after the mine is done with it, you don't bid against original family heirs unless they give the OK. It's been decided it's just bad luck since the first few people that did so fell down several flights of stairs and had to be hospitalized. Folks still wonder how they found so many stairs to fall down, since there's only one two story building in the whole town.

The restoration people working with the mining company do a fantastic job too. They're locals and fought for certain concessions. The mining company was expecting to resell to the timber companies. Then the housing bubble busted and put the timber companies in that area out in the cold.

Point is, your community might help you out.

This is just the stupidest thing I have ever seen. We need to flood that page with so many negative posts that he'd have to shut it down..........when you read it, it comes across like a communist wrote it.

I say we have a live cam for those who cant make it to trips party , in the bunker section and you have to pay to watch .

This winterization season is turning out to be the worst year I have ever had .
So many have sold , moved or just did not even use them this year .
I have several I can drum up but they NEVER pay on time and to hell with chasing them down for money .

Spent my birthday night getting trained to install smoke detectors for the elderly or who ever needs them . Some kind of state program that gives us 10yr detectors to install for free . Birthday dinner was fruit cake cookies , what a way to finish off a day that you learn its going to suck financially this winter .
And I found out last night that The Walking Dead did not record
