Tasco Target/Varmint 6-24x42mm Rifle Scope Mil Dot Reticle

Broke my hunting scope. I need to order something else fast and only have &/$/$- for a budget. Anybody ever use one of these?

Not used that particular model of Tasco Scope but I had a Tasco 6X18 power (I think been a while since I had the rifle) Mil-Dot on my Savage 10 FP it was OK but not spectacular, however a buddy of mine had the same scope as me on an M1A and he could not get it to hold a zero to save his soul, so YMMV.

Well crap. Any better ideas? Needs to be amazon prime so I can get it here QUICK! I feel like a cat surrounded by catnip woven yarn on amazon mobile right now.

The Tasco would probably do you for the hunting season, mine would hold a minute of angle out to 200 yards. I'm sure they have improved from when I bought mine in the late 1990's.

I was hoping this would be a good option because all the lenses are coated and its supposed to hold a zero at full zoom. Plus the mildot reticle is calibrated for 8X, so i should be able to use the rangefinder and holdover points at 16 and 24 if I do the math right.

What was yours mounted on? Mines going on a RRA Entry Tactical.

I worked my ass off today rebuilding the fuel injection control module (FICM) on my F250. I think it was a successful rebuild. I'll know for sure in the morning. If it worked, I will have saved almost a thousand dollars.

A thousand dollars? I foresee a new gun in your future.

Ever have one of those days when you need information that you've skimmed over a dozen times browsing the forums or the internet only to find that it's just FREAKING GONE!

Like the firearms app thread that got started a couple of weeks ago. Gone.

Like the trajectory chart of 55 grain Barnes VOR-TX that would show me a close range zero for 300 yards. Gone.

Like the review of that tasco scope I saw on youtube last week. Gone.

I'm just plain frustrated tonight.

Yes, it happens to me all the time. It's not necessarily gone, I usually just can't find it.
