anyone ever tried installing a new exhuast using the clamps as opposed to welding?

I bottomed out in a Ram a few years back and it pulled the exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter. I bought a new one and tried to install it myself. The goddam pipes were the same diameter! I spent more money on mating sleeves and clamps than I would have at an exhaust shop.

The range I go to has probably 200,000 rounds of 22 LR for sale unfortunately it's running $60 a box of 500 I think I'll wait

Thought you needed "header back" exhaust? In my car, that BOLTS to the header. ???

It's a 94. Had a header from lc engineering. I'll just have to wait til the funds come available for me. I have to do the pinion seal tomorrow.
