one of my favorite bikes were those Honda CB500 and CB550 four cylinder bikes from the early 70's to the late 70's. had a bunch of them over the years.

It refers to either dirt or street bikes. More a reference to the high-torque in the low end RPM range of the long-stroke singles as opposed to the bikes that don't get into the torque until you get into the higher RPMs.

never knew they used it to describe the street bikes. we always refered to the riders riding four stroke dirt bikes as thumpers! most all the guys i rode with, myself included, rode two strokes!

Step 1 : Grab beer and open it

Step 3 : Grab video camera
Step 4 : Start engine in 2nd gear
Step 5 : take big swig of beer
Step 6 : tie throttle off in wide open position
Step 7 : Nudge bike off stand
Step 8 : Laugh your ass off
Step 9 : Go retrieve bike
step 10 : post video to random thoughts thread asap

Really, I think I'm going to try this idea of working it loose while it's on the kickstand with the back tire up.

another thing you can check is the clutch cable adjustment. there is an adjuster on the clutch lever.
