Hmm , well this has been a weekend I would like to forget .
So one of the head ladies at my wifes new job as a paralegal HATES and I mean DETEST children , she is a ........ well I cant say it here .
Friday my Gma calls about my son throwing up
well Gma is legally deaf so you have to talk loud for her to hear on the phone .
So the wife walks out for a second to talk to her
Boss lady wants to know why she had to talk so loud on the phone so the wife tells her gma is deaf and watching the kids and one got sick .
Boss tells the wife she cant afford to have any one working for her who has to deal with sick kids and fired her .

Well ...... to make a long story short if other family and friends job were not in danger of being fired from the same lady then she would have one hell of suit on her hands ..... you cant fire someone for having kids

THEN .... yesterday wife gets pulled and busted hard B/C the rookie cop did not think the kids car seats are proper ..... will def be fighting that one in court , told her to get him on video along with a shot of the kids and their seats , THAT is a b/s ticket .

There are laws in place to protect those with families. I suggest looking into it and getting a lawyer.

Something about a family care act or something I think. And I'm pretty sure it's federal too.

Have your wife take her son to the doctor so she will have a record of the illness being treated. Take an FMLA application to the doctor and have him fill it out.
If this is a small, private law firm, she may not win this. If she works for a public defender or district or state attorney, she could win.

Wait, your wife did not miss work because of this illness?

She may also complain to the eeoc that denying employment to mothers is a form of sexual discrimination. Retaliation for legitimate complaints are also illegal so her friends will be safe.

No work missed she just took the call from Gma tell her that he was throwing up a bit but he does that sometimes , he eats then plays real hard and will puke SOMETIMES .
Issue is , one of the partners who is like a 40% holder of the firm is dads girlfriends daughter and also the one who owns the quarry and a very close family friend . She also has a baby girl but WILL NOT talk to the main lady about her own kid , thats how bad the boss lady hates kids . She could not have kids so now she is bitter and has 2 little dogs that she brings into the office everyday where they ch!t and piss everywhere and she is also a bad alcoholic including drinking at work but she is such a biotch that no one will step up to her in fear of loosing their job .
The family friend '' lawyer lady '' also has her sister and mom working at the firm and they have quit multiple times over that lady .
Heck the day before the boss called the wife into the officce to tell her how impressed she was with her work there .
So thats why we wont make a fuss , afraid too many others could loose their job too in retaliation .
Any other place ?........ oh yea it would be on then .
Wife has never even been late or had any issues between the kids and work

Sonds like another place of employment is the only solution. Hell, I would do everything I could to draw the rest of the crowd away once I found new employment. I have been known to do that myself.

I would be all over the one who fired me like flies on feces. Thank God I've always worked for bosses who believe in work/family balance. I have never been denied leaving work for my kids. THAT'S how you keep good employees.
