I wonder how the NSA could listen into my phone conversations, when my reception is so bad out here that half the time I can't even hear the conversation...

I have a 12 volt dewalt cordless drill that is at least 22 years old. It has built an 18x30 2 story addition on mom and dads place, a 3 car garage at mom and dads, my 2700 sq ft house, my 30 by 44 shop, tore down my 30 by 44 shop after the divorce, and is in the process of rebuilding my shop over at mom and dads place. And just to stay gun related it has built at least 2 reloading benches. I dropped it off of the roof today and the trigger and forward/reverse switch broke off of it. Dewalt doesn't offer the replacement part, and I haven't been able to locate elsewhere on the internet.

It is just an old drill and I have newer ones (but none I like better) that are more powerful but I am as attached to it as I am attached to my oldest guns.

I know this is somewhat irrational but if I can't fix this old drill I will miss it a lot. It has been my go to for 20 years.

So anybody got a dewalt dw 945 that is only good for parts?

Is this it? You may be able to order parts from Dewalt, or find them on ebay. If not, you could just buy this one, and have plenty of spare parts for the future.

F4U, our rental business is an authorized Dewalt repair facility. i'll ask the repair tech tomorrow about it and see what he says about it.

I have one. Battery packs are shot but you pay shipping and it's yours.
