Just another service hunters provide to the public, Neighborhood Watch outside neighborhoods. What did Smokey the Bear do; right, didn't do squat.

Anybody else having trouble viewing threads? I can only see the quick reply box.

How will I know what your answers are since I can't see them...

i like that idea personally, but you have to be careful. in some states, even if the person is committing a criminal act on your property, and they get bit or chewed up by your guard dogs, they can sue you for damages. even if you have many signs that state you have an agressive or guard dog on the premises.

yeah, i know it sucks.

several years ago, i was in a similiar situation as MobilMarine with a shop. even discussed it with my lawyer. even with many signs, giving warning about the dogs, if someone were injured by them, even if they were committing a break-in and robbing my place, that i could be sued by that person an by their family if they died. it wasn't a criminal act but a civil action. legally i could protect my property from theft with the dogs, but i could be sued in civil court if someone were injured.

pretty dang screwed up! not that i would be sued, but the risk of being sued was there if i had agressive dogs on my premises.

yes it is. i don't know whether it's been changed or not. but a person should have the right to use whatever they feel they want to use to be able to protect their property.

one of most robbers biggest fears when robbing a place is a dog!

I'm good with the dog, but what about my crazier relatives who would be putting landmines in their front yard? Inside a fence, maybe, but otherwise, landmines might just cross the line.
