No , as in ,6,000 rpm to 0 shut thee **** down , off , no ignition , no more internal combustion .
To make it worse , that model does not have the ratcheting clutch that most have so if its still in gear when it shuts down the prop acts like a brake , mmost will auto rotate like helicopter will .

Not good. I've had the intake blocked by a bag or kelp with the cylinder shut down and infernal beeeeeeeep! Never had a full stop, though.

Sounds like a good reminder on the PFD's; you can't swim for squat if you get knocked the eff out when your boat pitches you.

No , unless I got my bacon cheeseburger in my hand , the only way that boat is throwing me is with the shift and steering wheel coming with me , it did throw me one time whilst eating my much deserved artery stop leak burger when the boat ran out of fuel and I was walking around .

Today in class some kid left a barring tool in an engine, then started it. The wrench went into the fan, which is now in tiny pieces....

Did I mention I'm surrounded by idiots?

i have seen that happen a few times! i have seen them thrown across the shop and hit the wall as well.

you always get in a habit of checking around the moving components for tools or objects that might get caught up in something.

It should be like surgery. Count your tools going in and recount them going out.

very close to the procedure i use. i keep my toolbox very organized and when i am done i can tell right away if a tool is missing.

cuts down on making mistakes and losing tools.
