We have "sound machine" apps on our iDevices.....if that doesn't work there is always bulldog snoring.

I may have mentioned this before, but my tinnitus sometimes sounds like rain falling or water running. Drives me nuts. I get up and check all the faucets or go outside to see if I left the windows open on my truck. A recording would be worse!

Or bulldog farting, more likely.

Naah he's only bad like that when he gets too much cheese or other dairy. The yogurt helps balance that as well.

Try having a dog that begs for raw cauliflower and broccoli. That will turn a dog into an instant room clearer. He won't play with the kid when I'm picking in the garden, he loves fresh veggies that much. Raw beans today.

I used to have a Geology 101 textbook that wood put me to sleep in minutes. I could wash down two nodoze with a couple of triple espressos, and try to read the damnable book while walking, and wake up on the floor. Best sleep aid I've ever had.

I was a Civil Engineering major, with an emphasis in geotechnical, and when I did my graduation application at the end of my junior year they figured out I had never taken Geology 101, which was the prerequisite for three classes I'd already gotten A's in. So I had to take the class to graduate. The most boring waste of time I've ever been forced to endure.

If I hadn't sold the book at the end of the semester I'd send it to you.

Mine is not set to music. I like just hearing the nature sounds. For me, the music distracts from the nature sounds.

Heh. Got some sleep and feeling pretty good. Turned my alarm clock around, so I have no idea when I dozed off, but I was in bed by 11.

Big bennie to turning the alarm clock around, that no one either noticed or mentioned? I didn't hit the snooze button, but instead I just got up.

Glad to hear that you got some good Zzzzz's.

My firm belief is that the snooze button is a communist plot to make the beginning of our day extra crappy, so that later, we need to go buy some Chinese made trinkets & trash to make ourselves feel better.

I haven't used that infernal device for over 30 years!
