So a distant relative of mine (not SO distant, but distant enough) announced his long awaited marriage on Facebook just a little while ago.

A friend's congratulatory message regarding this event? "Congratulations! Live long and prosper."

WTF is that? If you can't think of anything "cool" to say, there's nothing wrong with sticking to a simple "congratulations". Why the HELL steal a line from star trek? This guy, neither he, his new spouse, or the friend, are even trekkies.

So cheesy.

Melatonin and valerian root. Took both and was ready to fall asleep by 2230. Quality of sleep was absolute ****. I was, for the most part, out by 2245. But I kept waking up every few minutes and staring at the clock. I only slept for about 5 minutes at a time until....about 0300: which is lately my normal time for falling asleep.

It obviously helped. I'm normally just staring at the clock, wall, and ceiling, pissed off and full of hate for the situation. But my body was doing its best to crash pretty early last night.

I'm going to keep trying this stuff and see if eventually I can't get my body on a new schedule.

Those two things need to be taken for about a week or so to work. I can't find anything that helps. Hope it works better for you. Being an insomniac sucks!!!

Hell yes it does. Everyone else has been telling me that either one of those should help the first time I take them, but I kinda figured they would need at least a few days to get the best results. It did help some for sure. I'm looking forward to hopefully being able to sleep again.

Try kava, comes in tea or drops but the drops taste bitter.

I'll give this mix about 10 days or so, and see what happens. I'm willing to try a few other options, but I'm about at the point where I'm thinking about going to a doctor.
