Hope everything went well. I had C1and C2 removed back in '98, hurt like hell for a while but don't miss them at all. Glad I don't have problems with any others as they can't just take the others out!

Good luck.

Thanks, she had the disc between c4 and c5, c5 and c6, and c6 and c7 removed and replaced with I believe they did silicon. Was supposed to only be the last 2 but when the doc got in said the other one was bad to and instead of having to do this again next year he did it now.

No kidding. I think I could sleep better though if only my wife didn't snore so damn loud.

My wife complains that my snoring bothers her, but it doesn't bother me a bit.

I think my main problem is that I have severe tinnitus and I am hard of hearing. My wife says (as if she has any way of actually knowing) that my hearing issues would make me less susceptible to noise sensitivity, but in reality it makes me more so. I have tried to explain to her that it is like when you have a sunburn, your skin is damaged but the slightest touch will be painful. Or if your eyes get exposed to damaging light (like high intensity UV, or looking at an electric welding arc) your eyes become hyper-sensitive to any light exposure at all.

I wear an earplug in my good ear at night (I am totally deaf in the other one), but I can still hear snoring or footsteps on the floor and that sort of thing (more feeling the latter).

I don't hear well. Probably shot deaf. I got hearing aids a few years ago. With those things in, I could hear the a/c running, the refrigerator, the water in the pipes moving. I still couldn't hear conversations or the television over the background. I took them back.
