Sometimes I'm glad I have smaller than average fingers. I sure blow the theory of judging "it" by the size of a man's hands.

So on my flight from Nashville to Chicago at 34,000 feet this evening, it was apparently decided a flyby of Kansas City at altitude was the best way to Chicago. Now I need to call American tomorrow and see if they will credit me the mileage from Nashville to KC, and KC to Chicago. I mean, I did fly all that way west to go back east and north.

No, but some ex girlfriends have. Not that I wanted to hear it, but I've had worse news.

I would really prefer they didn't restrict things anymore than they already are. That said, there are some people I would rather not stand near at a gunshow. One of those people is the local deputy (and firearms training officer, least at one time) who blew his pinkie toe off with a .22 magnum rifle at a local show a couple of years ago. He picked out the rifle for his 9 year old son, bought it, let the kid carry it around the gunshow for about 45 minutes, propped the muzzle on his boot while his kid went to get snacks, and put one into the toe/boot backstop. I was dumbfounded! 1) never checked the barrel or action before buying? 2) handed it to his 9 year old kid without clearing it for the kid to see? 3) let the kid carry a rifle the kid hadn't cleared around a crowd of people? 4) barrel on his boot? Parenting/firearms safety/evolution FAIL!
I hope you understood that I don't want more restrictions at gun shows, I would prefer less, as in... allow open carry or CC if the state allows it. As for ammo boxes being taped up, most all gun owners I know carry a knife too.

My main point is still that gun enthusiasts are mostly responsible people, which is why you don't see shootings at gun shows.

My best epithet for antis: freedom phobes.

They are afraid of common people having freedom to do what they want. They think common people don't deserve freedom, or are too stupid to handle it. Yes, arguably, some people can't handle it, but most can. The freedom phobes can't stand thinking that common folk might be equal to their maniac elite azzes in any way, shape, or form, so they take freedom away any way they legally (or illegally) can.

The one thing I don't like about going to the gun show is I can't carry there, and usually do other running around while in Lima. When in Lima, I desire to carry, for very legitimate reasons.

I was in the south end today, and had to take a detour from a road being closed. Off to the side street I go, carting around primer juniorette in my pickup. I stood out like a sore thumb, and I was deliberately made to feel that way with the stares and standing on the very edge of the driving lane by people of a different race.

I am not racist, but this is crap.
